Development of NHS Performs website
Information Services Division (ISD) and Health Protection Scotland (HPS) have been working in collaboration with the Scottish Government to develop a new website - NHS Performs.
Improving access to NHSScotland Statistics
NHS Performs aims to improve the understanding of, and accessibility to, timely information on the performance of Scottish hospitals and NHS Boards. The website was announced by Cabinet Secretary for Health, Wellbeing and Sport, Shona Robison.
NHS Performs brings together information on how hospitals and NHS Boards within NHSScotland are performing. Through NHS Performs, you can access information on:
- Accident and Emergency (A&E) performance
- hospital waiting times
- numbers of cancelled operations
- healthcare associated infections (HAI)
- numbers of patients who remain in hospital longer than they need to be (delayed discharges)
- numbers of hospital beds
- hospital deaths
Currently, NHS Performs includes hospital level information for the 30 hospitals in Scotland which have an Emergency Department (the larger A&E departments that typically provide a 24 hour consultant led service). Additional hospitals will be considered for inclusion in future updates of NHS Performs.
Feedback on NHS Performs
We hope that you find NHS Performs easy to use. If you can suggest ways in which to further improve or develop NHS Performs, we'd like to hear from you. Unfortunately we will be unable to respond to individual feedback, however all comments received will be considered as part of the future development of NHS Performs.
We will be holding a number of user engagement events later this year so that we can find out more about how people use NHS Performs and what users would like to see added or improved. We will publicise details of how to get involved over the coming months.
